SPECIAL NEEDS ASSESSMENT PROGRAM (SNAP)

Healthy Lifestyles and independence are important to everyone. Special Needs Activities Programs is a unique program designed to empower individuals with special needs because of disabilities or aging to live healthier and more independent lives.

 

SNAP offers pool classes targeted to help individuals that need:

  • Increased flexibility
  • Strength
  • Endurance
  • Decreased Pain
  • Maintaining or improving balance

SNAP exercise classes-on land offer a structured program to meet individual needs and goals. 

Each class emphasis:

  • Good posture
  • Deep breathing
  • Various levels to accommodate all stages of fitness & independence.
  • Seated Classes
  • Standing Classes

After sustaining a life altering injury or illness, it can be challenging to participate in normal recreational activities. Therapeutic Recreation Services coordinated events to allow participants to achieve success with re-entry into the community and leisure pursuits.
