employee Assistance Program

"Keihin Aircon North America, Inc. has utilized the EAP services of Midwest Health Strategies for several years.  Although the program is confidential, we have associates come to us to thank us for offering this service.  We find comfort in that Lois is only a phone call away to help our company or associates at a moments notice."

Kim West

General Affairs Manager

Employee Assistance can help employees cope with such problems as marital, financial, emotional difficulties, or problems caused by alcohol or other drug abuse.

The Employee Assistance Program is voluntary, free, confidential counseling that is part of the employee's benefit package. It is available to employees and family members residing in the household and is supported by professional counselors, who specialize in evaluating personal problems.

The Employee Assistance Program is strictly confidential. No one but the employee and the program counselor have any knowledge of an employee's request for help. However the counselor submits periodic reports about the number of employees who have taken advantage of the program. No names or other identifying information is included in the report.

If a supervisor feels an employee's job performance is being affected by personal problems, they may encourage the employee to participate in the employee Assistance Program. If the employee does not accept the offer for assistance and job performance or attendance problems persist, the supervisor can follow corrective measures to address the situation.
