Speech Therapy

The Speech Language Pathologists of Midwest HealthStrategies provide evaluation and therapy services for individuals with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing impairments from birth to geriatrics.  The experienced, certified, and licensed speech/language pathologists are committed to the prevention, rehabilitation and education of patients and their families.  Services are provided and available to both inpatients and outpatients.

Comprehensive services focus on:

• Dysphagia (swallowing) rehabilitation
• Oral-motor/feeding treatment
• Articulation remediation
• Motor speech disorders (dysarthria, apraxia of speech)
• Language therapy to improve comprehension and expression
• Fluency therapy for adults and children who stutter
• Speaking valves
• Cognitive retraining
• Voice therapy to remediate disorders in vocal quality, volume, prosody and resonance
• Laryngectomy pre-surgery education and alaryngeal speech options
